nervous nervous

Hi everyone! Hehe.. so as I mentioned before, I had my presentation last week. Initially, another Australian guy offered to swap his turn with me because his turn is supposed to be next week and he wanted to help me by giving me an extra one week to prepare myself. And so I agreed. Until…..

My supervisor came to me, not very pleased if I swap my turn with that guy because I will be presenting my thesis with another lady who is very good in presentation. At first, I thought all the students over here are very good in English except me because they are from English speaking country. Huhu..

After discussing with my dad, I finally decided to do my presentation last week. And I actually have less than one week to prepare *grrr..because the idea of swapping my turn with the guy, I have less time to prepare my slide cause I didn’t know that I will present this week*. So I put my entire slides in one day, practiced it the next day and so on. When I practiced in front of my supervisor for the first time, I got really nervous and my English turned up really sucks and I stumbled few times.

And the second time I rehearsed in front of my supervisor, I managed to cool down myself, and it went really good. Even my supervisor said it was really good.
Yeah, and then on Friday, the presentation day..huhu. I got really nervous; I cant even cool down myself. And my hand was shaking throughout the entire presentation.

I didn’t want the audiences to know that I was nervous as the laser pointer looked like I have tremors or something at the front hehehe. So I hold the laser pointer with two hands instead but it was still shaking.yeah. so I rest my hand on the pastor eh..?? Don’t know what is called, but it was still shaking…damn…

Next, there was question and answer session. Yeah, there was one lady asked me a question the reason why all my mice gained in weight. And I paused for awhile to think, and then started giving my answer *goreng punye jawapan* . soon after I finished answering the question my supervisor rose his hand and corrected my answer *oh gosh.. malu nak mati kot*

My supervisor said that he needs to correct my answer and told the audience that the mice increased in weight because he forced me to feed the animal with condensed milk and bird seeds every two days. And then all the audiences started to laugh … malu gilaaaaa laaa..nampak sangat I hentam je jawapan.


And yeah, to cover that, I said thank you to him..hehe..walhal rasa nak tembak semua orang je time tu...

So overall I think I did what I could but I still think that it was not the best from me. Everyone else said it was really good. My supervisor *ehem said if he is the examiner, he will give me almost full marks.

I am thankful. It is really great experience to do public speaking. Tak biasa buat kat msia. Hehehe…
